As we continue to supply supplies to all those who want to fully engage in their crafting passions, we at Ajanta Studios have been slowly edging towards one of our favourite forms of textile art. We're now very happy to announce that our range of sewing patterns are now fully available; helping first time tailors as well as experienced clothes-makers find their inner fashion designer!
All our patterns come courtesy of the McCall Pattern Company; a worldwide manufacture of sewing patterns that not only test and improve the skills of all would-be clothes makers, but also help to sow an early eye for good, wearable design. Founded in 1770, the pattern company designs, manufactures, markets, distributes and sells sewing patterns for misses, men's and childrens fashion, all for a variety of occasions - both practical and highly fashionable.
McCall's trades under multiple recognised brand names, each with their own styles and suitability for sewers. We've got three of them, including their own classic, self-titled collection for today's fashion trends. The McCall's range of patterns put everyday comfort alongside wondrous detail. The choice of wears include full lady's ensembles, classic clothes for little girls that retain the child-like spirit, and even costume designs for fans of steampunk & crafting sets for dolls.
In 1853, the face of home sewing was forever changed when Ebenezer Butterick introduced the world's first graded sewing pattern. The company that came from this groundbreaking move continues today, with these Butterick make-it-yourself patterns appearing our own online store as another brand from McCall's. If you're after something highly unique and moderately challenging when it comes to lady's fashion, our Butterick sewing patterns include great creations from renowned designers like industry expert Connie Crawford, and vintage queen Gertie.
And last, but by no means least, we have the Vogue series of patterns. These designer dresses, men's & ladies wear choices take the brand's 80 year status as a style leader into the 21st century, with clothing creations that can be traced to top-name designers from many corners of the globe, including Ralph Rucci and Donna Karan. Here you'll also find some of the more challenging patterns for the truly experienced sewers, along with highly unique, wearable choices for men, women and children alike.
We hope that you find that one dress or ensemble design in Ajanta Studios' ever growing range of sewing patterns that makes you want to take your tailoring to a whole new level, or perhaps engage with the craft for the first time. We'd also love to see your creations as they come to life, so please do share your work-in-progress' or finishhed projects with our Facebook page, Twitter or Google+.
